BRING IT!

Update (12:30am -- Sept 12):
My Cantonese neighbors have chosen to evacuate. They're going to Dallas but was only able fill up with enough gasoilne to go halfway. Wussies! I was asked to watch over their home while their gone. In return, they gave me a box of Ferrero Roche's. DEAL! I LOVE Ferrero Roche's.
Ike is suppsed to hit as a Cat 2 through Galveston Island, straight towards Downtown Houston. So I'll be right on the "clean" side in the Southwest sector.
Update (2:20 am):
Forecasted to be a Category 1. A high pressure ridge stands guard along the coastline and is feeding dry air into the gulf and helping to weaken the storm. Winds in my area are projected to average 64-66 mph. Puppy Sneeze.
Update (3:04 pm):
It is the calm before the storm. It is eerily quiet, but not for long as the worst is yet to come. Meanwhile, on television, the Galveston seawall is being bombarded by violent waves. While the winds are only a Category 2, Ike is extremely huge. The storm surge is rated for a Category 4 so the entire city of Galveston is projected to be entirely submerged like Atlantis. Nothing else left to do but sit here, vegge, and wait it out. Every precaution has been taken. I got Iphone fully charged, Ipod fully charged, PSP, spare phone, and a bag full of "last resort" goodies.
Update (8:30 pm):
Power still on. Wifi still on. I'm starting to hear wind.
I noticed that my sarong wearing neighbor on the left packed up and left too...Pussy.
The power started to switch on and off so I have the desktop off since the notebook has a battery back-up.
Wow...now they're saying that the eye will be passing right by the Galleria area of Houston...not too far from where I'm at. Sucks.
Oh crap! Tornado warnings. D'oh! I forgot about tornadoes!
Update (10:05 pm):
Awww Yeah. We're getting some strong wind gusts. The party is starting.

:D
